While sorrows mount
and trials reign,
a silver lining
yet remains.
Where tears are shed
in sad refrain,
a ray of hope
will puncture pain.
A peaceful mask
adorns the face,
a man too young
to meet God’s grace.
With casket closed
and death still lain,
lips of love
caress the stain.
Woeful mourner,
clothed in grief,
clasps a lifeline
of belief.
What tale of loss
would be complete
until it’s laid
at Jesus’ feet.
When Christ returns,
the grave arraigned,
a silver lining
will sustain.
Amen and amen!

Thank you. A poet expresses herself in many different ways, so try not to worry.

This particular poem actually expresses hope, in that the “silver lining” is the hope in the salvation of the one who passed on, even though we who are left mourn.

A beautiful tribute to a godly man who lived his (way to short) life well.
